Caverns

Luray Caverns

The world-famous Luray Caverns are only 5 minutes away! They are the largest caverns in the eastern United States, and have been meticulously preserved for guests to enjoy either at their own pace, or as part of a guided tours. Don't leave Luray without seeing the breathtaking underground formations that these caverns have to offer! Luray caverns opens every day of the year at 9am, and closing time is seasonally between 4pm - 7pm. Adult tickets are $32 each, and $29 for seniors (62+).

Skyline Caverns

A fun alternative or different cave tour experience, Skyline will be passed by many of you on the way or leaving Luray as it’s just outside Front Royal. These caverns boast unique and delicate crystal formations you will not see at any other cavern in the area. It's about 27 minutes from us and is open every day from 9am - 4pm. Adult tickets are $28 each.

Shenandoah Caverns

There are several caverns around the Shenandoah Valley.  If you hadn’t gotten enough at Luray Caverns here is a good choice! It’s a one hour tour about 29 minutes from the B&B, admission $24.

Endless Caverns

Somewhat off the beaten path and therefore much less crowded is Endless Caverns where you can not only enjoy another fine cavern experience but they also offer Nature Trails, biking and catch and release fishing. ! It’s the longest underground tour in the area at 75 minutes and is located about 31 minutes from the B&B, admission $20.

You cannot believe this place! A seven screen movie house in Luray that plays a great selection of first run movies… For less than $10! Wonderful, quirky and fun, the Page Movie Theater is clean and cute, you’ve got to try it. 14 minute walk from our door or a 3 minute drive on Main Street.

Outdoor Recreation

Old Rag Mountain

Old Rag is a popular daytime activity. It is located in the Shenadoah National Park and accessible from the eastern side of the Blue Ridge Mountain. It is considered the most difficult non-technical hike on the east coast so be sure you are prepared! Newly instituted is a requirement to have a prepaid entry, available from the National Park Service, you may use the link on this page for more information from the park service. 

Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive

When it comes to in things to do in Luray VA, Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are the main events!  If you want to do more than just enjoy the tranquility of the South Court Inn and you enjoy the outdoors and nature hiking, Skyline Drive has it all.  Find over 100 different trails that lead to peaks, vistas, water falls and even a portion of the “AT” (Appalachian Trail) plus two lodges to just enjoy the view in comfort.

Birdsong Pleasure Garden

Birdsong Pleasure garden is a non-profit garden open to the public that tries to recapture the essence of Elizabethan era English Pleasure Gardens. Nestled near the Shenandoah River west of town, it's only a 12 minute drive away. It features strolling trails that take you by various gardens, orchards, woodland paths and landscaped areas with spectacular mountain views and conversational areas. You have to see it to believe it.
